This limited edition (2000 Copies) purple coloured vinyl re-issue includes their cover of Marvin Gaye's 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine' which was the B-Side to the 'Typical Girls' single. This high quality vinyl version features the same artwork including the empowering naked mud picture on the front cover and inner sleeve a-la the original. This has been unavailable on vinyl in the UK since it's original release in 1979. The Slits were one of the first punk bands and one of the last to make a record.
On its release in 1979, the record was regarded as a five-star triumph. The pioneering mix of the band's punk roots and legendary reggae producer Dennis Bovell created an extraordinary masterpiece that ranked alongside other 1979 ground-breaking post-punk classics such as Pil's 'Metal Box', 'Unknown Pleasures' by Joy Division and the Pop Group's 'Y' albums.
Thirty-seven years on, 'Cut' is still a landmark album and one that sounds as essential as the day it was released.
