It is, definitely, good to be back.
To celebrate Metronomy's return with their seventh studio LP - Small World - the band have commissioned a very special 12" comic book, illustrated by Drift's own Lee O'Connor.
Included free with all vinyl preorders, the infinitely-looping comic charts the adventures of the 'It's Good To Be Back' video that leads the album's announcement.

It's not the first time that Metronomy have called upon Lee's illustrations, with Joe Metronomy previously picking nine of his Bay cultural highlights for a very limited, illustrated Tea Towel. That artwork will be included in the forthcoming Dinked Edition 'The English Riviera Instrumentals' and going even further back, we once took Joe on a Totnes Record Shop Ghost Tour that Lee imagined visually for Deluxe.
Will there be more? Might be.
"I had a fun time using a new painting style and they (the band) were very understanding about all the band jokes," Lee explains.
Below are a series of WIP images from Lee's massive sketchbook.
Small World is scheduled for release in February and you can preorder it here.
