More of the newness, but sweet lord, how is it possibly June next week?

Hello, Friends.

A distinctly Dinked tone to this week's releases.

Heart Under is the deliciously dark second album from much-hyped Dundalk five-piece Just Mustard. Industrial cranking to the guitars, cavernous pounding to the drums and a ghostly whisper to the vocals, it really is special stuff, this. Record of the Week and one to dive into.

+ Available on limited Transparent Blue Vinyl.
+ Please note, the (sold out) Dinked Edition has slipped back in production, due with us next month.

Crispy Moon is a dreamy and evocative swim in experimental waters, a vibrant and bubbling album from Bristol-based Japanese artist Yama Warashi (co-founder of the now defunct raucous psychedelia collective Zun Zun Egui.) We were thrilled to work with PRAH to bring this box of fireworks to you as a Dinked Edition.

[Dinked Edition 172 / Yellow coloured vinyl / Obi strip / Flexi disc with exclusive track / Hand-numbered / Limited pressing of 350]

Swedish synth-pop auteur Molly Nilsson returns with Extreme and it has some serious vibes. A euphoric energy, with flashes of melancholy through the synths and clicking drums. Maybe it takes ten albums to get to the point where you know exactly what you want to do and the pace of it all, it's impressively distinct.

[Dinked Edition 153 / Transparent Lime Green Vinyl / Bonus 7” featuring 2 exclusive tracks / 16 Page Fanzine designed by Molly Nilsson / 24” x 12” Poster / Numbered Edition / Limited Pressing of 600]

All of this on Dinked plus Szun Waves (№ 196) yesterday, Why Bonnie (№ 197) just this minute announced and Edition № 198 on Friday morning. What a week!

Molly Nilsson

After a little delay, Gnod return on Rocket Recordings this week with Hexen Valley and it is MASSIVE. Full throttle, dangerous and dark, this is really glorious.

+ Available on a limited Red colour vinyl pressing.

Always is an entirely new album from the New York reggae/rocksteady band The Frightnrs which was made with vocal stems that frontman Dan Klein had recorded before his passing. We're trying to get more, don't touch that dial!

Baby, We're Ascending is the debut full-length album from HAAi. Such a lush journey, the production goes up and down and the guest voices (Jon Hopkins, Hot Chip's Alexis Taylor, Obi Franky and spoken word poet and activist Kai-Isaiah Jamal) move from dreamlike to arresting. Really feeling this album.

+ The deluxe LP is pressed on Splattered double vinyl, packaged in a gatefold sleeve with fluorescent pink ink, spot gloss varnish and embossing.

Blue Skies is the Fat Possum debut from Chicago three-piece Dehd. It sounds quite lo-fi, but there is actually a lot going on and the noise they can make is very impressive for just three.

Flying Mojito Bros - Greatest Hits (1970-1983)

The much-loved Bruce Hornsby releases an all-new album called 'Flicted this week. Features duets with Danielle Haim and Ezra Koenig and we have a limited "Duckie" Yellow colour vinyl pressing. There is some rapping.

Alfie Templeman releases his debut LP Mellow Moon on Chess Club, including a limited White and Purple Splatter colour vinyl pressing.

Pop singer Liam Gallagher releases not one, but TWO albums this week; C’MON YOU KNOW where he sings his new songs and Down By The River Thames, where he sings some of his brother's songs on a boat. C'MON?

Lastly this week, an absolute solid-steel, gold-lock, sure-fire, country-tinged set of bangers from the Flying Mojito Bros, with Greatest Hits (1970-1983), a super-limited double compilation of their most celebrated releases to date plus an exclusive new track. Reworking all things Classic Rock and Cosmic Country, this is absolute party banger gold. The duo have also put together an exclusive mix for us that will be broadcast live on Soho Radio during the station's residency at Sea Change this weekend. YAS!!!

Limited Translucent Red & Translucent Green coloured Vinyl. Get involved before the desist is ceased... As they say!
