Every Inch of Earth Pulsates is the euphoric third LP from W. H. Lung, a brilliant representation of their joyous live shows.
We are big fans W.H. Lung. This third album is in fact the third time that we have worked with them on an exclusive Dinked Edition, the first act to do it and one we are really proud to have evolved alongside. The album was produced in Sheffield with Ross Orton and is very specifically about registering euphoria on tape. Big feelings.
“A huge thing for this record was to make it feel as close to our live show as possible. We didn’t want it to sound live but we wanted to capture the excitement of the live performances.”
- Tom Sharkett, W.H. Lung
Watch | 'How to Walk'
When the band first debuted, there was such a dark drive to their krautrock hues, full of propulsive energy and a dark ‘howling at the moon’ allure. Across their second LP and into this expansive new third album, Every Inch of Earth Pulsates, they have retained the all-consuming fever in their music, but each track is part of a flow that undulates to ever more euphoric highs. They arrive at bliss on so many occasions.
Watch | 'Flowers in the Rain'
It is an album of anthemic music, even in its more maudlin moments, with full and saccharine harmonies floating over the warm synth tones and motorik rhythm section. They coherently weave in everything from dark-disco, shoegaze layers, synth-pop and psychedelic guitar clatter; it’s hugely impressive, sonically. Subtle enough to offer much on repeat plays, but a proper joy on the stereo from its first beats.
