Buscabulla - Se Amaba Así

Buscabulla’s second album, Se Amaba Así (“The Way They Loved”), is an unflinching exploration of love, vulnerability, and survival. Co-founders Raquel Berrios and Luis Del Valle turn their focus inward, weaving a vivid tapestry of Latin musical traditions to confront the tensions of life as partners and collaborators. Across the album’s ten tracks, the duo moves from the neo-doowop inflections of “Mi Marido” to the heavy, distorted pulse of “Mortal,” blending dark synths, hypnotic vocal loops, and crisp live percussion into their boldest and most intimate work to date.

Self-produced and mixed by Rich Costey, Se Amaba Así builds on the momentum of last year’s single “11:11” and their acclaimed 2020 debut Regresa, which chronicled their return to Puerto Rico after years in New York. Their collaboration with Bad Bunny on the global hit “Andrea” introduced them to a wider audience, fueling a fresh creative era that now finds its full expression here. Throughout Se Amaba Así, Buscabulla offer a raw, richly textured portrait of love under pressure, embracing honesty over fantasy at every turn.
