Light in the Attic

Light in the AtticLight in the Attic records are based in Seattle Washington (USA) and specialise in unearthing rare gems. "The idea was to build a label which placed as much emphasis on releasing quality reissues as it did developing new talent." - and damn good at it they have proved to be.

They've had a huge PR shot in the arm in the last year after the Rodriguez story was brought to the screen in 'Searching for Sugarman' (LITA reissued both of his albums in 2004 and 2009), they're by no means a one man roster though. They currently include; Donnie & Joe Emerson, Lee Hazlewood, Ray Stinnett (one of our favourites), Serge Gainsbourg, Michael Chapman, Shin Joong Hyun, Charles 'Packy' Axton, Jim Ford, Michael Hurley and most recently Marcos Valle

They are also well know for their annual record store road trips… now that was going to go down well with us!
