Modern Technology - Service Provider
Description
+ Limited Indie version LP is pressed on white and black dual-tone vinyl with contrasting labels, limited to just 250 copies.
The debut full length of London duo Modern Technology and the first physical release from new charitable label Human Worth, with 20% of proceeds donated to charities The Trussell Trust and Black Minds Matter, for the support of black individuals and families.
'Service Provider' is a justifiably enraged response to a mad world. Written and recorded well before Lockdown was even a concept, the album seems to have perfectly predicted a time of global anxiety, unease and claustrophobia, with Chris barking lines about ‘walls closing in on all four sides’ amongst slabs of feedbacking bass and Owen’s pummelling drums.
The record was recorded and mixed by Wayne Adams of underground legends Petbrick and Big Lad and mastered by James Plotkin of Khanate / OLD, which goes some way to sum up the world that this one sits. Dark and ferocious, but with a creativity at its heart, this is noise for the now.
"The heavy and intense brand of noise-rock that's spat out by London's Modern Technology is so dense and ferocious, it's hard to believe the band consists of only two members." – The Quietus.

Drift Recommends
Alongside a weekly playlist of new and old tracks (tune in via the news section), all of the Drift staff also contribute to a weekly 'Drift Recommends' playlist.
Updated every Friday, it's full of new tracks that we love, absolute bangers that have popped back into our heads and all sorts of other weird avenues. It is supposed to sound a little bit like that feeling of walking through the door at Drift.
