The Pale Blue Dots – Lots of Dots
A woozing beauty from the SFA universe.
Description
Their debut album Lots of Dots was released back in 2014 following the duo meeting at university, when visiting tutor and composer Richard, met Bunf who was studying for his MA in Film Composition. Originally a digital only release Lots of Dots was a nine-track odyssey that fans of alternative pop, Bay Area psychedelia, soundscape experimentation and, indeed, Super Furry Animals could instantly relate to. Now in 2022 a newly mastered and slightly expanded version of the album is being released. The original nine songs are all included, plus the previously unreleased song Thermos.
During September 2020 in a bid for the physical release of the album, a petition was created on change.org and circulated amongst Super Furry Animals fans in the SFA OK! Facebook group. It was unknown where the petition would lead but following a number of discussions, one thing led to another and two of the fans decided to make it a reality.
Just over a year later with the support of the band, we now have the first fan managed release on Strangetown Records.

Drift Recommends
Alongside a weekly playlist of new and old tracks (tune in via the news section), all of the Drift staff also contribute to a weekly 'Drift Recommends' playlist.
Updated every Friday, it's full of new tracks that we love, absolute bangers that have popped back into our heads and all sorts of other weird avenues. It is supposed to sound a little bit like that feeling of walking through the door at Drift.
