Paco Cathcart - Down On Them

A fixture of New York’s DIY underground, Paco Cathcart steps out under their own name for the first time with Down On Them, following more than 100 releases as The Cradle. Long a quiet force behind the scenes, Cathcart has been a key influence in the scene that gave rise to Water From Your Eyes, Palberta, and Lily Konigsberg—collaborating, recording, and shaping sound from the inside out.

Down On Them is a love letter and lament for their NYC home, written in and about strange, uncertain times. The record is loose and personal, filled with textures that reflect both city noise and introspective quiet. Featuring some of the city’s most inventive players, it’s a snapshot of a community in motion, channeled through one artist’s distinct voice.
