Luke Titus is a Chicago-born drummer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist whose genre-blending artistry defies easy categorization. With roots in jazz and an uncanny ability to fuse it with experimental sounds, drum & bass, and beyond, Titus has built a reputation as a versatile, world-class talent within the national music scene.

Growing up amidst Chicago’s rich musical landscape, Titus quickly became a key player in the city’s jazz, hip-hop, and R&B communities. By the early 2010s, his collaborations had earned him a place among the city’s most exciting emerging voices. His influence stretches across Chicago, LA, and New York, weaving a distinct narrative that reflects his versatility as an artist and producer.

From What Was Will Grow A Flower marks the second full-length album from the prolific Titus, crystallizing his diverse musical sensibilities into an expansive, introspective statement. With blooming melodies, virtuosic instrumental passages, and intricate production, the album speaks to spirituality, connectivity, and the cyclical nature of the human experience. As Titus explains, the album explores the journey of self and universal connection, questioning reality as a way to deepen that bond. It is a heartfelt dedication to those who’ve faced hardships and to the shared experiences that bind us. “This album is for my mom,” he adds, further underlining its personal depth.

Titus has also made a mark behind the scenes as a producer and collaborator, contributing to celebrated projects such as Noname’s Room 25, Ravyn Lenae’s Hypnos, and Orion Sun’s Orion. His production work spans a broad array of talents, including Steve Lacy, Saba, Kiefer, and more. Whether in the studio or on the stage, Luke Titus continues to redefine what it means to be a modern musician.
