This coffee is grown by the border of Kenya and on the extinct shield volcano in which it's named after. Here various smallholders take advantage of the newly liberalised coffee industry which spent decades under state control. These smallholders work with the Kyagalanyi Coffee Lts, the oldest running exporter in Uganda which began operating shortly after the state let go of control in 1992. Well balanced with apple acidity and a great nutty mouthfeel.
