Ethiopia, Tariku MengeshaThis coffee is a natural processed coffee prepared in the traditional way first by soaking the cherries to remove all immature, floaters, overripe and foreign matters and then drying on raised beds for 28 days. Although its very common to see varietals from Ethiopia listed as ‘heirloom’ as they are often uncatalogued and grown and tended to in ‘the wild’ of neighbouring forests to the farmers home. This coffee is a result of research and deliberate breeding following an epidemic of berry disease that devastated Ethiopian coffee agriculture.
