PJ Harvey, one of the most consistently vital, evolving and important artists of the last few decades returns with The Hope Six Demolition Project. Our record of the week draws from several journeys undertaken by Harvey, who spent time in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Washington, D.C. over a four-year period before recording last year in residency at London’s Somerset House. After a few listens it's pretty clear we're only scratching the surface, but it is angry, wise, funny, progressive and full of pop hooks.
