Transangelic Exodus from Ezra Furman is a big, smart and chest poundingly joyous album.
It's his eighth album (with various backing bands) in the last decade and carries on his evolution as a highly articulate writer and a brilliantly emotive conductor. At times it's like a frenzied take on Springsteen at his most euphoric, at times intimate and hugely inventive in its instrumentation. Utterly brilliant pop music and Ezra's ability to cram his songs with thoughts and words and really something.
+ Limited first pressing on lavender vinyl.
