Record of the Week is the debut self-titled LP from young DC punk trio Flasher.
Originally, released on cassette back in April, we're psyched on this (limited) vinyl run (plays at 45rpm). Some superb call and response vocals that warp in between howls and genders. Much like the lead lines, it's hard to tell who is doing what. Pounding bass and drum sections give it a starkness and also lots of drive, a lot of pop sensibility. They've been touring with all sorts of bands around the states this year, ones to watch for sure.
