New Energy is producer Kieran Hebden's ninth full-length and is a masterclass in subtlety and hypnotic music making. There are so many textures and timbres and they all cohesively sculpted into a beautifully organic flow. There are moments of ambient techno and the way they flow in and out of the serenity of harps, pulses and any number of instruments is just stunning. Went to bed to it, woke up to it... both felt special.
