Record of the week is one that we can't put down. It feels like a very special set of sounds. Kelly Lee Owens self-titled album on Smalltown Supersound is a beautifully constructed album of tones and sonics.
Before starting work on the self-produced album, KLO, a 28-year old Londoner, turned her keen ear towards dance music after working with techno producer Daniel Avery in a London record store. Her voice and contributions can be heard on Avery’s Drone Logic.
The production really is amazing. Not to put the song-writing or the delivery on the back burner, but the pacing and sensitivity really is quite brilliant. She is also clearly a nerd... which we approve of wholeheartedly!
Very highly recommended indeed and if you act quick, we have limited edition copies pressed on indie shop clear vinyl.
