After experimenting with fragmented melodies in his 2023 EP In The Double, the album marks a fuller exploration of Maïlé’s somber yet dynamic soundscapes. The album, co-produced with Oli Bayston and Harvey Grant, evolved from isolated demos into collaborative works, with contributions from various musicians and explores themes of identity, dislocation, and the quest for peace, balancing melancholic moments with playful, experimental textures.
