Aaron Dessner (The National) and Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) rejoin forces as Big Red Machine on the new How Long Do You Think It's Gonna Last? LP. Autumnal prettiness with some subtle gnarl. Features guest appearances from; Taylor Swift, Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold, Sharon Van Etten, This Is the Kit, Ben Howard, Lisa Hannigan, My Brightest Diamond’s Shara Nova and more.

Other You is the absolutely excellent new LP from Steve Gunn. Full of smart and additive guitar ragas, and as with his previous few albums, it's his voice that grows and grows. Features contributions from; Mary Lattimore, Juliana Barwick, Bridget St. John and Jeff Parker. Really very highly recommended.

Back with an absolute smash are Chubby and the Gang. The Mutt's Nuts is such a joyous ride, super-good fun and full of a brutal and deliciously knowing energy. They're not joking, it's just funny sometimes.

+ Deluxe Edition is a (very) limited, numbered 3D mutt edition. Includes a 20 page lyric comic book drawn by the band and 3D glasses. Housed in a gatefold jacket and printed inner sleeve.
Memory Device is the outstanding debut from Londoner Baba Ali on Memphis Industries. A graceful and engaging trip through a lifetime of influences and experiences. It has drive and loads of confidence, touches of funk, soul, Electroclash and more.
Lost Futures is an absolutely glorious collaboration between guitarists Marisa Anderson and William Tyler. It really is supreme, imaginative and genuinely collaborative with calls-and-responses and plenty of space to drift off into the wild, too.

The Bug is in cavernous and terrifying form with Fire. Kevin Martin’s first solo full-length album under The Bug moniker for seven years.
The Bronx return with the raawwkkkin Bronx VI. Great drive to this one and we have a nice-looking Orange colour vinyl edition too.
Screen Violence is the new LP from CHVRCHES. Features Robert Smith and we also have a limited Transparent Red colour vinyl pressing.
Jorja Smith releases the new mini album Be Right Back, her first new work since her Mercury Prize-nominated debut album Lost & Found.
Halsey releases the massive new If I Can’t Have Love I Want Power album. We haven't heard it all yet, but it's pretty ambitious and the cover is getting a lot of attention. Limited White Vinyl pressing.
Montréal saxophonist and electroacoustic composer Jason Sharp presents his third album - The Turning Centre Of A Still World - on Constellation. It's really lush, woozy!
The mighty Modest Mouse return - for the first time in some six years - with The Golden Casket. It leans way more to the heavy sounds, production is lush.
Honest Labour is a real sonic trip from Manchester UK’s Space Afrika. We've been playing this a lot.
The Mega Bog album we talked about the other day is now here and is fantastic. Erin's voice is just wild.
