Closing out April with some fine new releases. A big end to the week, a big weekend coming.

Hello, Friends.

Record of the Week is a big return in these parts, with Sea Change alumnus and hugely talented songwriter BC Camplight releasing Shortly After Takeoff on Bella Union. It is the third in his "Manchester Trilogy" and is arguably his finest. Darkly hysterical lyrics and complex songs matched by the hugely inventive production. This really is a treat.

+ Indie shop version LP is pressed on limited clear vinyl.
+ Buy now and we'll enter you into the draw to win a signed test pressing AND BC's studio workbook. (picture)

For Their Love is the first album in five years from Portland's Other Lives. It was recorded at their own Cooper Mountain Sound studios (pictured on the cover) and really has a gorgeous vibe. We're delighted to confirm that this weekend that the band will be beaming in live from Portland at Sea Change Goes Online. Full schedule online Friday.

+ Initial Indies only LP copies of For Their Love  are pressed on clear vinyl, with an exclusive orange sleeve. Whilst stocks last, we also have some signed prints by the band.

What Kinda Music is the combined efforts of Tom Misch & Yussef Dayes, a quite astonishing collaboration between two artists of very different disciplines, and one of the most unique and seamlessly original projects of its ilk to date. Very highly recommended this, feels like one of those records that we'll become fast obsessed with.

+ Limited Deluxe double LP edition is pressed on heavyweight vinyl, presented in a gatefold sleeve, includes a music book, a recycled plastic plectrum and is housed in a recycled plastic dust jacket. Also includes three bonus audio tracks: Saddle, Tidal Wave Outro and Seagulls.

Two limited 12"s released today with remixes and reworks of The Cinematic Orchestra's To Believe LP. Some fantastic timbres and amazing voices, really feeling these, some glorious stuff.

Ezra Furman releases his excellent songs from season 1 and 2 of the hit Netflix TV show, Sex Education. Whether his words or someone else, he really does create magic vibes.

'Ariel Archives' is a comprehensive series of reissues and retrospective collections concentrating on the treasure trove of material recorded and released by Ariel Pink as 'Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti'. Today we have fresh new editions of The DoldrumsWorn Copy and House Arrest. Absolutely LOVED cracking these open, such cosmic vibes. He's such an emotive songwriter. Amazing textures.
