Not-New Records of the Week: Tunng, Beverly Glenn-Copeland, Steve Reid, Madvillain, Ennio Morricone and The Young Gods.

Signing off the week with all your not-new, new record news. Includes Madvillain.

Hello, Friends.

As promised, this week's new arrivals were too impressive for one sitting, so here are your Reissues of the Week.

Tunng's Mother’s Daughter and Other Songs was originally released in 2005 on the magnificent Static Caravan label and this week's new edition is the first time this beloved album has been available on vinyl since 2006. Not only that, it became the third entry into our Dinked Archive with a very handsome edition. We've just put our very last few copies online.

Transgressive release the quite wonderful Keyboard Fantasies, the 35th anniversary reissue of legendary Canadian/American singer, composer and transgender activist Beverly Glenn-Copeland’s beloved seminal work. Innovative and so ahead of its time - repressed for only the second time - this is essential for all synth lovers.

After a few years out of print, Soul Jazz Records reissue Nova, the 1976 debut album from the legendary Steve Reid in a new translucent red coloured vinyl edition. As a radical jazz artist, Steve Reid played with an extraordinary group of artists - Miles Davis, Sun Ra, Fela Kuti, James Brown, Ornette Coleman, Lester Bowie and many more. He was perhaps best known to the current record heads as collaborator to Kieran Hebden of Four Tet on a number of joint albums. This one really is all-time special, very highly recommended indeed.

The Blue Note font of goodness pours again with saxophonist Hank Mobley's Soul Station and the seminal Art Blakey & The Jazz MessengersMoanin'. Now we have been Moanin' as they didn't press enough and we won't have full stock on this gem until September, but we did manage to get in some more catalogue which is all here.

We have a real-nice reissue of Swiss industrial rockers' The Young Gods eponymous debut studio album. This new pressing includes a previously unreleased John Peel Session recorded at the BBC’s studio in 1988.

Originally released in 1984, Pop is the only studio album from Tones On Tail, which was a side project of Bauhaus members Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskins along with Glenn Campling. The audio was cut from the original analogue master.

Super limited, we have Ennio Morricone's weird and terrifying score to Exorcist II: The Heretic. Sourced from the original master tapes and pressed at RTI for maximum fidelity, this is the first ever vinyl reissue and it's on Florescent Green vinyl!

Multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and producer Jordan Rakei turns curator for the latest instalment of Late Night Tales. It's a lush trip that includes an exclusive new track from Jordan. Limited indie shop Green vinyl too!

Madvillainy II: The Madlib Remixes

LATE: Couple of late arrivals with Hudson Mohawke's Hudson’s Heeters Vol. 1 and black midi's John L / Despair in the building and shipping now. Also, Ross Gay's Dilate Your Heart is here, one of the great poets of modern times accompanied by the sounds of Justin Vernon, Sam Gendel, Gia Margaret, Angel Bat Dawid and Mary Lattimore.

SOON: Some killer, new listings to include; Darkside, Nathan Salsburg & Bonnie Prince Billy, Prince, Jon Hopkins, MF Doom, Joni Mitchell, Art Blakey (again) and a very limited, special edition of Lenny Kaye's forthcoming Lightning Striking book on White Rabbit.

NEXT WEEK: A reminder that we're not open for browsing yet, aiming for early May if we can. Keep your eyes peeled for some Dinked announcements too!

And finally today, we have just this minute taken stock of the Madlib's full-album Madvillainy remix that he originally produced for his own private listening. Get clicking though, Madvillainy II: The Madlib Remixes will not be here long.
