An absolute goliath of a new week as we see out March ’25. Banger after banger after banger…
Not one, not two, but three NEW Dinked Editions in the rack - plus the not-too-small matter of Athlete and Unrest in the Dinked archive too!
NYX’s debut is a luminous blend of choral tradition and electronic texture - meditative, grounded and quietly powerful. Moving between stillness and intensity, it weaves voices, synths and field recordings into something strangely ancient and new. It’s the conviction on this one that makes it so gripping. The Dinked Edition has sold out, but we have limited copies of the Black vinyl pressing.
Snapped Ankles return with Hard Times Furious Dancing - a primal, synth-fuelled call to the clearing. Born from their South London forest ‘rayves’, the album is their most feral, floor-shaking release yet. Meme-fried, rhythm-driven, and gloriously absurd. When the world makes no sense, the only thing left to do is lose yourself. Don’t miss out, this really is excellent.
Thirdly, Blood Ties is the debut LP from duo lilo, one of the UK’s most quietly powerful new voices. Pressed as a Worldwide physical exclusive first for Dinked, the album is a hushed, harmony-led reflection on love, loss, and lifelong friendship. Rooted in folk but reaching toward something timeless, it’s a deeply personal record with universal resonance.
Limited to 350 hand-numbered copies. It’s a beautifully crafted edition for a beautifully crafted debut. Pressed on glass clear vinyl, with a bonus 2-track 7”, and comes housed in a mirri-board gatefold sleeve which really is just glorious-looking!
One of the month's biggest hitters lands this week, with Lucy Dacus’ Forever Is A Feeling - a gentle, unflinching dive into love’s mess, magic, and meaning. Fresh from a GRAMMY-winning run with boygenius, her fourth album spans lush swells and stark confessions, tracing the ache and awe of devotion. A quiet attempt to hold onto something infinite.
+ Available on a very handsome and reassuringly heavy ‘Liquid Gold’ colour vinyl. Really cool custom center labels too, fyi.
The week’s other big return is Perfume Genius, who leans into vulnerability and power in equal measure on his new release, Glory. Backed by a full band, Mike Hadreas crafts sharp, shimmering portraits of longing, identity, and transformation. It’s his most open, collaborative record yet; euphoric and deeply human.
+ Available on exclusive Cobalt Blue colour vinyl.
Inspired by the wild beauty of the Sierra de Guadarrama, Sierra Tracks sees Vega Trails expand from duo to chamber-jazz ensemble. Cinematic and free-flowing, it’s a graceful blend of bass, sax, piano, vibes and strings. Really expressive stuff and getting played a lot over here.
On Gemini, The Sure Fire Soul Ensemble channel their signature funk-jazz grooves into deeper, more expansive territory. Echoes of library music, spiritual jazz, and cosmic soul weave through breakbeat-driven cuts and meditative moments alike.
+ Pressed on Maroon vinyl.
Chrystia Cabral returns as SPELLLING for her most open and immediate LP yet, Portrait of My Heart. Lots of collaborations, but an honest and fearless set.
+ Available on exclusive Olive Green vinyl, with both LP formats including a signed print.
Jump Into Life is the first album in five years from Sacred Paws and a joyful reaffirmation of their singular sound. Ray Aggs and Eilidh Rodgers blend punk roots with Afrobeat rhythms, bright pop hooks, and post-punk energy into something urgent, melodic, and unmistakably theirs. A VERY welcome burst of colour and life.
Also this week; Bria Salmena releases her debut solo LP Big Dog on Sub Pop, including a limited LP “Orchid” colour pressing. High vibe Australian duo Mess Esque (Helen Franzman and Mick Turner) return with Jay Marie, Comfort Me on Drag City. Plan 75 is the ambitious debut EP from the much-hyped (Green Man Rising winners) The Orchestra (For Now). Atlanta-based singer-songwriter Girlpuppy returns to Captured Tracks with Sweetness, which includes a Bubblegum Pink vinyl pressing. IC-02 Bogotá is a super-limited EP from the mighty Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Such inventive stuff. RUSHMERE is the first new LP from Mumford & Sons in a while and it includes a ‘Bloodshot’ Red colour pressing. Dan’s Boogie is the new LP from Dan Bejar as Destroyer, includes a Black & Clear Swirl pressing. Chicago-based guitar magician James Elkington returns with a new double LP called Pastel De Nada. This has some magic, we tell you what!
The week’s Best New Reissues are pretty stacked too, with; Coke, William Onyeabor, Seefeel, some scorching compilations, plus Athlete and Unrest for the Dinked Archive.
