Damien Jurado always turns in killer albums, mystical, sonic adventures and full of strong grooves. His last couple of albums (2012's Maraqopa and 2014's Brothers and Sisters of the Eternal Son) have been supreme examples of confidence and craft. New LP Visions of Us On The Land is again cut with label mate and super producer Richard Swift and takes all that work to a new level, an expert songwriter on the top of his game. So much to enjoy here, a superb album. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
