Floating Points - Mojave Desert

Record of the Week is Mojave Desert by Floating Points and it is exceptional. He is one of the most subtle and skillful producers around. It is, in fact, less 'him' (Sam Shepherd) these days and equally now about the band of exceptional musicians he helms.

Like all great progressive and Jazz music, Mojave Desert is winding, searching and sonically fascinating. It is thrillingly explorative music and has been a wonderful place to get completely lost in. Very highly recommended.
