Record of the Week is the insanely long overdue new album from Swedens' The Radio Dept. They are a band we hold very dear and thankfully at long last we have a new LP - Running Out of Love - to cherish. They are on splendid form, all be it as maudlin as they have ever sounded with a set of hazy post dance floor inspired songs about what a fucking mess we're all in.
On announcing the LP they explained; "We have just finished our 4th full-length album, 'Running Out Of Love'. An album about life in Sweden in 2016 and how our society seems to be in regression on so many levels. Politically, intellectually, morally...It's an album about all the things that are moving in the wrong direction. It's about the impatience that turns into anger, hate and ultimately withdrawal and apathy when love for the world and our existence begins to falter."
Hazy synth leads and beats not out of place at The Haçienda, it's another fine addition to their pretty much impeccable back catalogue.
Whilst stocks last we have Indie shop exclusive pressed on clear vinyl. Buy Now.
