Ryley's Primrose Green LP was one of our top albums of 2015 so we're pretty pumped about it's follow up. New album - Golden Sings That Have Been Sung - is a sonic shift, a rich and woozy take on jazz, minimalism and psychedelia. Where as Primrose Green was about Ryley's vocals coming into the mix, Golden Sings That Have Been Sung is a bold and vivic step into the psychedelic, holding more in common with Miles Davis than Tim Buckley. The album feels like suites not songs, shimmering textures and supreme experimentalism (with some of the Chicago elite). A massive accomplishment, a superb album.
