Good Luck and Do Your Best.

May's record of the month is one we are already absolutely in love with. Gold Panda has been an excellent friend to Drift. He was the first person on the cover of Deluxe for issue three and also played live in the shop (with Luke Abbott) for Record Store Day 2013. His third long player - Good Luck and Do Your Best - has all the intricate layered beats of his first two albums, but is so expansive, like a soundtrack with strong motifs around motion and travel. The whole album is structured as a love letter of sorts to Japan, it is beautiful listening and already sounds like the soundtrack to our summer.
