Drift Sunday Digest: 25th April 2021

Rich Sunday distractions to accompany your home brew coffee.

Hello, Friends.

Next week we’re going to do something a little different. We have pulled together a collection of killer releases from the last few years (Dinked Editions, indie exclusives, LRS pressings, super-limited bits) that we have been safely hiding. We want these to go to homes where they’ll get played not flipped, this is about nice stuff going to people at the RRP. ⁣

If you want in, you need to FOLLOW US on Instagram. We’ll give you all warning and work out how to get the good records to the good heads. ⁣

We can't stop the flipping market, but we can try to circumnavigate it on occasion.

Supermoon

Get ready for the Supermoon!

Our first dip into the celestial and a date for your diary, with a Pink supermoon due to brighten the UK night skies next week.

"The Next Full Moon is the Pink Moon, the Sprouting Grass Moon, the Egg Moon, the Fish Moon, the Paschal Moon (for Eastern Christianity), Hanuman Jayanti, Bak Poya, and a Supermoon." , explain NASA.

We'll be wrapped up on Tuesday night, we might need a hot drink!

Promises: Through Congress

This sure felt celestial!

Promises: Through Congress is a collaboration between Julie Mehretu, electronic music composer Floating Points aka Sam Shepherd, and filmmaker Trevor Tweeten.

It premiered yesterday in partnership with Whitney Museum of American Art and it was stunning. It was billed as Chapter II of the work that includes the mind-blowing Promises (Floating Points, Pharoah Sanders & The London Symphony Orchestra) and the official website lists a Chapter III as incoming. What treats!

Have a dig around on their website for more info. We are desperately hoping to have more Promises stock in the next few weeks.
