A new week absolutely full of glorious tones. Some really excellent albums for you.

Hello, Friends.

Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You is the absolutely massive return of Big Thief. The band - Adrianne Lenker, Max Oleartchik, Buck Meek, and James Krivchenia - spent five months across four recording sessions in Upstate New York, Topanga Canyon, The Rocky Mountains and Tucson, Arizona to record an epic 45 completed songs. Revised down to a svelte 20 song collection, it really is a rich album with intimate moments and some big sections too. Might well be the best thing they're done to date, our Record of the Week.

Holy Hive release their new (self-titled) LP and it is absolutely lush. The Brooklyn trio (Paul Spring, bassist Joe Harrison and drummer-extraordinaire Homer Steinweiss) have produced a set of dubbing funk and soul swooners. Richly analogue in sound and Spring's falsetto vocal is pure sunshine floats. Played this a lot already this week, really great vibes.

+ Very limited clear pink and blue splatter vinyl pressing.

Eve Adams - Metal Bird
Flicker is the second album from Ride guitarist and songwriter Andy Bell. It's a set of songs that draws influence from a wide base, with fuzzing guitars, hypnotic-loops, bucolic finger-picking and reflective vocals. Suitably eclectic and gently euphoric, great stuff.

Cold As Weiss is the third LP from the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio and is a real funking joy. Moving between an up-step soul and more low-paced cruisers, the band's chemistry makes it all feel pretty fluid.

+ Limited edition LPs are pressed on clear and blue colour vinyl.

FTHC is the ninth solo album from British punk Frank Turner. We have a limited red vinyl pressing. Another big return this week is alt-J with The Dream. We have a limited physical shop exclusive that is pressed on standard-weight Transparent Violet 12” vinyl. Big shout out to everyone who has been searching " ∆ " on the Drift site, we love to see attention to detail.

Lastly this week, Studio Electrophonique return with Happier Things EP and it is really gorgeous. Studio Electrophonique is James Leesley: a young songwriter and musician from Sheffield. His ear for melody is supreme and he falls wonderfully into the Steel city's rich lineage of wry lyricists. We previously suggested this was a 10", it is not, we're giving you a whole extra 2"s for the same price. Not many of them, don't miss out, it's a corker.

A full set of preorders to tell you about tomorrow, some excellent reissues out tomorrow too and we'll wax lyrical on Monday.
