If you want something new, then baby, Drift got your back.

Hello, Friends.

Our Record of the Week is Glowing In The Dark, the euphoric new LP from the excellent Django Django. It is honestly so good, just super good fun and full of wild genre-splicing whilst sounding uniquely like themselves throughout. One listen and you'll be humming it for weeks.

+ Indie LP is pressed on Glow In The Dark Vinyl.
+ Vinyl copies include 40 x 60cm poster.
+ CD copies include 35 x 47cm poster booklet.

This Friday is a TRIPLE DINKED FRIDAY. Ye Gods!

private LIFE is the wonderful return of Virginia Wing. Man, we love these guys. The production is LUSH, dreamy vibes with all sorts bubbling away. We've played this loads over the last few weeks and it just gets better and better. We've just made a last handful of the Dinked Edition (Blue & Black marbled vinyl / 24” x 24” artwork poster / Hand numbered) available now.

Modern Hysteric is pure sonic exploration from Tala Vala, and we love it! Woozy tape machines and analogue gear with all sorts of textures (brass, prickly guitars and primal percussion) going on. It's such a joy, this one. We thought we had sold out, but we just made a few more available (Opaque Blue vinyl / signed and numbered print) now!

Claud is the debut artist release on Phoebe Bridgers’ Saddest Factory Records, with Super Monster, a vertiginous but joyous coming-of-age reckoning with such young love. The Dinked edition sold out fast (if you preordered this, we're hoping to get stock out to you tomorrow but it's a tad late), but we're trying to have some of the indie pressing in stock later.

Love Is The King is the new super-chill LP from Wilco's main man (and ours!) Jeff Tweedy. It's absolutely one of the best lockdown associated albums/recordings we've heard, it's about hope and he made us feel full of it.

+ Limited clear vinyl pressing with cool perforated artwork.

Try Harder is the impressive debut from New-York-via -everywhere signer Aerial East. She's got a lush voice and she leaves loads of space in this record.

+ Super limited edition (Of 150 copies) on Gold Vinyl.

Leeds-based art-rockers Mush return with Lines Redacted. Mixed with The Cribs' Lee Smith, it's got some real energy and plenty of weirdness too!

+ Indie LP is pressed on Clear Transparent vinyl.

New Fragility is the return of Alec Ounsworth's Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, and it is pretty swoony glorious. Big vocals, big vibes and some really mellow production.

+ Indie LP is pressed on Bone Opaque vinyl.

Who Am I? is the second album from indie-pop icons Pale Waves. Whilst stocks last, we have some signed art cards and a reminder that our Indie LP is pressed on Translucent Green Vinyl and housed in a gatefold jacket.

A couple of massive returns this week with Weezer releasing OK Human (including the very very limited + Indie LP on Red, Blue and Yellow Splatter on Clear vinyl) and slowthai releases TYRON. Keep an eye on our website for slowthai as we're hoping to have some more of the transparent clear vinyl landing.

In limited release corner this week we have (had) Bored At My Grandmas House's excellent Sometimes I Forget You're Human Too EP and Ben Howard's What A Day/ Crowhurst's Meme 7".

Silver Apples

Nonesuch releases a remastered, special edition of the 2005 record Our New Orleans for the first time on vinyl. The benefit album that raised $1.5M toward housing low-income musicians and others through the New Orleans Habitat Musicians’ Village after storm Katrina brutally hit the city in 2005. Many of the Crescent City’s best-known musicians recorded songs that are integral to their lives and that express their feelings about the city and the trauma of Katrina. It's chocka with good vibes, this.

Hope Is A Candle (Home Recordings 1985 ~ 1990 Volume 3) is the third and final volume in a trilogy exploring the teenage tape experimentation of Warren Defever aka His Name Is Alive. There is some magic going on here.

Another double Blue Note week with Cannonball Adderley's Somethin’ Else and Joe Henderson's Page One. Two real classics, both with iconic sleeves and sounding pretty magnificent too!

We have a 50th Anniversary pressing of The Band's third LP, Stage Fright. Super nice box set with extra bits and a fresh-sounding LP.

Pretty essential (aren't they always?) Half Speed Master's of a couple of Creedence Clearwater Revivals, with Pendulum and Mardi Gras. Because we respect Creedence, we also have a Blue Vinyl pressing of Pendulum over here too.

Acid Jazz release Unité Africaine, two long-form pieces full of African, Latin and psychedelic jazz flavours from T.P Orchestre Poly Rhythmo De Cotonou.

Matador have reissued the melancholic and drone-laced brain-zap Wammo, from NY via NZ heroes Bailter Space. As we play it, Lee is fuming that no one told him about them in the nineties. Our limited Indie Shop version is pressed on transparent orange coloured vinyl.

Lastly this week, Jackpot reissue the utterly seminal, self-titled Silver Apples album. It still sounds insanely good, and ludicrously ahead of its time too. This pressing is remastered onto Blue vinyl and is in a real nice mirrorboard sleeve too!

Have a good mooch around the site if you're bored, we have a Paul Weller picture disc, a limited red vinyl pressing of Celeste and The Rolling Stones' Goats Head Soup clear vinyl pressing with alt sleeve.

Hope you're all feeling alright out there.
