Helen is a pop group from Oregon. Liz Harris (Grouper), Jed Bindeman (Eternal Tapestry) and Scott Simmons (Eat Skull) making the most beautiful sketchy, fuzzy, warm, hazy, scratchy, woozy outsider guitar-pop songs. Anyone familiar with Grouper will be thrilled with the fragile brood, but the rhythm section lifts Helen to something a lot hard to pin down. There are just not enough adjectives to explain this one, it's a listen you'll want to experience for yourself. ★ ★ ★ ★
