2026 is the 50th anniversary of the iconic fourth album by Average White Band, released in June 1976. Reaching #9 and becoming their third consecutive US Top 10 album, “Soul Searching” includes the much-sampled classics ‘A Love Of Your Own’ and ‘Queen Of My Soul’, with the latter reaching the Top 40 Singles Charts on both sides of the Atlantic. Two further singles in ‘Everybody’s Darling’ and ‘I’m The One’ were also released as singles in various parts of the world.
Again, keeping to the formula, “Soul Searching” was produced by Atlantic’s legendary producer, Arif Mardin. Average White Band tore-up the rule book and conquered the US, UK & International charts with a series of soul and disco hit singles and albums between 1974 and 1980, widely and rightly earning the moniker of one of the best ever soul and funk bands. AWB’s repertoire has been a source of inspiration and influence for many R&B acts and they are one of the most sampled bands in history, remaining relevant today, continuing to reach new generations of younger audiences.

When is this released?
Average White Band - Soul Searching is available for Pre Order now and has a scheduled release date of 24th April 2026.

When will I get it?
We ship pre order items to arrive with you on or as close as possible to release day. We are limited naturally by when the stock arrives with us in Totnes, but we work hard to ship them in a timely fashion.

What is the discount?
