Three years after the release of his award-winning debut album ‘Ephrata’, Joshua Burnside is back with his second album ‘Into The Depths of Hell’.

An absurdist examination at the suffering humans inflicts on each other every day and the innate human condition that demands we find some humour in it lest we collapse, ‘Into The Depths...’ postulates that perhaps the first ring of hell begins at our doorsteps.

+ Limited Indie Version LP is pressed on white coloured vinyl.

Joshua Burnside was born in Northern Ireland, where he draws inspiration from the beauty, the ugliness and the rich musical and literary heritage of an often tormented corner of the world.

His debut album 'EPHRATA' won the NI Music Prize 2017. Written whilst living in Colombia, the songs deal with themes from PTSD and technophobia, to larger questions about time, love and death in the modern age.

"Burnside’s sound surges with real force... an intoxicating bundle of frayed nerves and woozy intensity." – NPR.
"Rumbling, brooding, powerful, magnetic." – The Irish Times.
"Joshua finds a way of making the genre his own. It’s plaintive but full of considered moodiness. Beautiful stuff." - Gold Flake Paint.
