AAA Gripper may seem to have emerged from nowhere, but their roots stretch back to a flash of inspiration at the first Wrong Speed Records festival in Glastonbury, summer 2023. Fueled by a weekend of boundary-pushing music and like minds, they set about recording hours of bass and drums deep in Somerset, eventually sculpting the sessions into a lean, razor-edged 32-minute album. Wild guitars and taut, urgent vocals completed the picture—nine tracks of pure intent.
We Invented Work For The Common Good is a tightly coiled reflection on labour, repetition, and routine. Its DNA runs from The Lost Tapes-era Can to No Means No, filtered through relentless editing and a restless drive for purpose. Thematically, it peers into the machinery of working life—how we get pulled in, why we stay on the belt, and the cost of staying in motion.
The cover photo, taken each morning on the walk to work past looming mills, captures the mood: daily repetition, looming industry, and a quiet warning—KEEP THEM BUSY, THEY WON’T RISE UP. This is music about that world, forged in its rhythms, and intent on cutting through its noise.

When will I get it?
We ship pre order items to arrive with you on or as close as possible to release day. We are limited naturally by when the stock arrives with us in Totnes, but we work hard to ship them in a timely fashion.

What is the discount?
