You may well have already seen over on our socials, but we're delighted to announce that the fifteenth Dinked Edition is STONECHILD from Jesca Hoop. We've got a really beautiful edition on white and black 180g marble coloured vinyl in a mirror board sleeve. It also includes a signed art print, an exclusive flexidisc and are an individually numbered edition of just 600 copies. As ever... don't miss out!
This week we have been busily preparing for Saturday's Record Store Day (more info here), but there are plenty of great new records hitting the racks Friday morning.
Record of the Week is All Time Present, a big return from Drift favourite and Sea Change alumnus Chris Forsyth. This new config of the Solar Motel Band is pure fire, it all sounds so easy as they run through riffs, motifs and some pretty out there free-form jams with tremendous dexterity. It's big ambitious stuff with so much going on across it's 75 odd minutes, but there is not one moment that feels ill-conceived, idle, or anything other than really engaging. Lush.
As Bibio, Stephen Wilkinson is a writer of such pretty songs. His previous LP Phantom Brickworks was full of stunning ambience, and new album Ribbons recalls those lush tones and uses them as a gloriously woozy bed for Wilkinson as a quite straight-up songwriter. As a textural producer he is really peerless.

Another former Sea Changer today with Lowly returning on Bella Union. Hifalutin finds the young Danes taking their glacial euphoria even further away from the many "sounds likes". It's all meticulously created, dense but precise. The production on the vocals is amazing, blurring of people and computers, really stunning.
Dogrel is the debut LP from Irish punks Fontaines D.C. and we know loads of you have been waiting a long time for this. Heart on sleeve stuff, pounding punk, euphoria and some sweet moments in between.

Damien Jurado has always worked fast, but In the Shape of a Storm - his debut for Loose Music - came together with unprecedented speed. Recorded over the course of two hours one California afternoon, it’s Jurado’s most sparse album to date and it's very powerful stuff.
Budos Band are RIGHT up our street. The Staten Island nine-piece return with gloriously burnt-out soul-funk with classic rock tones. Dark and brooding with hazy Ethiopian rhythms all over their fifth studio LP.
The Leisure Society return with a classic break-up album this week called Arrivals & Departures. It charts the end of the relationship between two members of the band and its rawness is pretty striking. Great set of songs. The band also release an RSD exclusive this week with a guest appearance from Brian Eno!
Tom Speight releases his debut LP Collide. Over two years, Tom independently released six EPs and has to date some 50 million plus streams... so expect this one to do pretty well!
Last one today is a hugely welcome return. No Geography is album number nine from The Chemical Brothers and has little bits of all the magic that has made them so special for some twenty five years. Lush funk and soul samples and shapes, pounding house rhythms and brilliantly sharp songwriting. A couple of choice guest appearances and SUCH. BIG. BEATS.
